(Closed) Deenbandhu Haryana Gram Uday Yojana 2021 for Village Development

On the name of Great leader late Chaudhary Chhotu Ram ji, Deenbandhu Haryan Gram Uday Yojana was started for the development of villages in the Haryana state. Under the scheme, an amount of Rs. 5000 crore was spent for the development of 1700 villages having population from 3000 to 10,000 during the period span of 3 years. An amount of Rs. 1200 crore was allocated for Deen Bandhu Haryana Gram Uday Yojana in the year 2017-18. 

Deenbandhu Haryana Gram Uday Yojana 2021 Details

Deenbandhu Haryana Gram Uday Yojana named after Choudhary Chhotu Ram focused on development of villages. In the 1^st phase, Detailed Project Report of 400 villages was prepared and project was sanctioned. A holistic development of the villages was undertaken in the scheme. The announcement of Deenbandhu Haryana Gram Uday Yojana (DHGUY) was made by Capt Abhimanyu, former finance minister of Haryana while presenting the budget earlier for 2017-2018.

Under Deenbandhu Haryana Gram Uday Yojana, the state government developed about 1700 villages having a population in the range of 3,000 to 10,000 people. In villages also, the government provided physical, social and economic infrastructure facilities at par with urban areas.

The scheme was implemented with the expenditure of Rs. 5,000 crores in a phased manner in three years. The scheme was funded through NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) assistance. The government had created an outlay of Rs. 1,200 crore for Deenbandhu Haryana Gram Uday Yojana.

Besides, the government had also launched a scheme ‘Mangal Nagar Vikas Yojana‘ in order to develop modern infrastructure and to maintain the existing infrastructure in urban areas. The scheme was launched with an outlay of Rs. 1,000 crore.
