UK Free Tab Distribution Scheme or Uttarakhand Free Tablet Scheme 2021 has been announced by the state government. In this scheme, students of Classes 10th and 12th will now receive free tabs from the state government. Uttarakhand Free Tablet Scheme 2021 Registration
There is a great news for the Uttarakhand students of classes 10th and 12th. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced to provide muft tablets to the students under Uttarakhand Free Tablet Scheme. The decision to start Free Tab Distribution was part of the announcements made on Independence Day (15 August 2021). Uttarakhand govt. will start implementing Muft Tab Yojana soon. The UK Free Tablet Scheme online registration will be invited at the state govt’s website at https://uk.gov.in/ or at a new dedicated portal.
As soon as the apply online process for UK Free Tab Scheme begins, we will update it here. It is important to note that all the candidates must submit the Uttarakhand Muft Tab Yojana application form before last date i.e within the specified timelines.
Eligibility Criteria for Uttarakhand Free Tab Scheme 2021
Only those candidates who fulfills the below mentioned criteria would be eligible for Uttarakhand Free Tab Scheme 2021:-
- Applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand state.
- He / She must be studying in any of the government / govt. aided school.
- The annual income of the family of the applicant from all sources must not exceed Rs. 2 lakh per annum.
- The applicant must be cleared in all his previous attended examinations i.e he / she must not have backlogs.

Need for UK Muft Tab Yojana in Wake of COVID-19
Covid-19 lockdown necessitated online teaching in 10th and 12 class in schools. However, students in aspirational districts who are not equipped with smartphones, internet and other e-learning material lagged behind. Aspirational districts are backward on parameters like education, health and nutrition, agriculture, water resources and basic infrastructure. The tablets under Uttarakhand Muft Tab Yojana can be used by students as per their convenience.
The study material will be loaded in tablets given under UK Free Tablet Yojana and will be accessible without internet connection. Each tablet will have a 10-inch screen and will have high-resolution quality so that it has no adverse impact on the eyesight of students.
CM even mentioned that Children are our future. The state govt. has started Vatsalya Yojana to take care of children who have lost their parents to the Covid pandemic. They will get a monthly allowance of Rs 3,000 under the scheme up to the age of 21. Now govt. has decided to provide free tablets for the students of Class 10 and 12.
Other decisions
Uttarakhand CM also said that the state government has decided to constitute a high-level committee to address the apprehensions about the land laws in the state. Moreover, the government is also instituting the Sunderlal Bahuguna Prakriti Sanrakshan Award to be given for distinguished work in the field of environment and nature conservation.
