Uttar Pradesh government is inviting online applications for UP Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana [कन्या सुमंगला योजना] 2021-2022 at official website mksy.up.gov.in. Kanya Sumangala Yojana is a conditional cash transfer scheme to ensure social security to girl child & her development. Interested ones can apply online by filling UP CM Kanya Sumangala Yojana 2021 online registration form, read scheme guidelines and check application process at Citizen Services Portal.

PM Modi has released over Rs. 20 crore to more than 1 lakh beneficiaries under the ‘Mukhya Mantri Kanya Sumangala Scheme’ on 21 December 2021. Kanya Sumangla Yojana provides conditional cash transfer to a girl child at different stages of her life. The total remittance is Rs. 15,000 per beneficiary. Along with improvement in health and education of girls, their dropout rates would get reduced. For this purpose, govt. will deposit pre-determined amount at the regular intervals in the name of girl child through DBT mode.

UP CM Kanya Sumangala Yojna will prevent social evils like female foeticide and child marriage. Moreover, girls will get an opportunity to advance towards higher education and employment. This scheme will assist girls of UP state from their birth till their graduation studies. UP state government had allocated Rs. 1200 crore for UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana in UP Budget 2021-22 presented on 22 February.

STEP 1: Firstly visit the UP CM Kanya Sumangala Yojana official website at mksy.up.gov.in

STEP 2: At the homepage, click at the “नागरिक सेवा पोर्टल (यहाँ आवेदन करें)” link under ‘शीघ्र संपर्क‘ section.

UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana Eligibility Criteria for Registration

Here is the eligibility criteria for UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana registration:-

• The candidate must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh. For this residence proof needs to be produced which includes Ration Card / Aadhar Card / Voter Card / Electricity Bill / Telephone Bill.
• The income of beneficiary family from all sources must not exceed Rs. 3 lakh per annum.
• Maximum of 2 girls of a single family would be benefited under Kanya Sumangala Yojana.
• Family size of the beneficiaries must not exceed 2.
• In case the women delivers twin babies in her second delivery then 3rd girl child would also be eligible. If 1st child is girl and 2 twin girls are born from second delivery, then all 3 girls would be eligible.
• If family has adopted an orphan girl then max. of 2 girls would be benefited including biological children and adopted girl child.

The official website mksy.up.gov.in is live from 17 September 2019. UP CM Yogi Adityanath had launched this scheme on 11 October 2019 and had distributed certificates to beneficiaries.

Latest Update on UP Mukhyamantri Sumangla Yojana

To empower women across Uttar Pradesh, Yogi government will link as many as 2 lakh new eligible girl beneficiaries with the Kanya Sumangala Yojana by 15 December 2021. The state govt. will transfer the grant amount directly to their bank accounts. Under the Mission Shakti Abhiyan, the work of adding new eligible girls to this scheme is going on at a fast pace. So far, over 1.50 lakh girls have been added so that they can be well educated and become self-reliant.

Officials have given the target to all the 75 districts to provide the advantage of Kanya Sumangla Yojana to about 2 lakh new girls in less than 3 months so that they can be well educated and become self-reliant. In this regard, the department has issued an action plan in which the districts have been assigned with their respective targets and they will be working accordingly.” The commitment to the safety, self-reliance and dignity of the women and daughters has been the mainstay of the Yogi government.

Under the flagship campaign Mission Shakti 3.0, more than 28.32 lakh people have been made aware in just four months. From August 7, 2021 to November 25, as many as 28,32,104 people including 12,18,181 boys, 16,09238 women and 4685 others have been made aware by the department. On behalf of the department, various programmes like Haq Ki Baat with the District Magistrate, Kanya Janmotsav, Swavalamban Camp, Mega Event, Legal Awareness Campaign, Establishment of Gudda Guddi Board, Honoring Meritorious Girls and Gender Champions are being organised.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a unique initiative to reach the eligible people of the state. Under the third phase of Mission Shakti, in the Swavalamban Camp, along with giving information about other schemes including destitute women pension scheme, Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana, UP Chief Minister Child Service Scheme, applications of schemes were also accepted under one roof.

Around 24,728 applications were received for Kanya Sumangala Yojana, out of which 12,931, 10,329 applications were received under Destitute Women’s Pension Scheme, out of which 3,780, under Mukhya Mantri Bal Seva Yojna 2,521 applications were received in which 810, Mukhya Mantri Bal Seva Yojana (General) received 2,636 applications out of which 529 has been accepted.
