Jharkhand cabinet has decided to provide Rs. 1 lakh assistance to students of scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribes (ST) on clearing civil service preliminary exam conducted by union public service commission (UPSC). This financial assistance under Jharkhand SC / ST Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana will enable “Mahadalit” students to prepare for the mains of civil service examination conducted by UPSC.
Jharkhand SC / ST Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana will help the students from economically weaker sections to focus on their education without worrying about expenses. The state govt. is going to make payment of this amount / grant in a single installment and this money will get transferred directly into the bank accounts of students.
This scheme to provide assistance to SC / ST students was launched by the Jharkhand govt. on 5 November 2018 earlier.
Jharkhand SC / ST Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana 2021
The scheme to encourage students from SC /ST category was launched on 5th November 2018 in a cabinet meeting chaired by CM Raghubar Das. Now, all the SC / ST students who have cleared UPSC civil services preliminary (PT) exam will get an assistance of Rs. 1 lakh to prepare for the civil services mains examination under Jharkhand SC / ST Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana.
Only such SC / ST students who have passed their intermediate (class 12th) and graduation from the state. This assistance can only be availed for a single time and the annual family income of the students from all sources must not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh. Even those candidates who are already taking benefits of coaching from either the state govt. or central govt. are also not eligible.
Jharkhand SC / ST Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana Eligibility for Registration
- इस योजना के तहत राज्य के मध्यवर्ती 12वीं कक्षा में जिन छात्रों ने अच्छे अंक प्राप्त किए हैं उन सभी छात्रों को जो एससी एसटी के दर्जे में आते हैं और उनकी वार्षिक पारिवारिक आय 2.5 लाख से अधिक नहीं है तो उन्हें इस योजना का लाभ दिया जाएगा।
- जिन विद्यार्थियों को पहले से केंद्रीय सरकार द्वारा कोचिंग के लिए आर्थिक सहायता प्राप्त हो रही है उन्हें भी इस योजना में लाभार्थी नहीं बनाया जाएगा।
- जो परिवार गरीबी रेखा से नीचे आते हैं और एससी एसटी दर्जे में शामिल होते हैं केवल उन्हीं परिवार में पढ़ने वाले छात्र को इस योजना का लाभ प्रदान किया जाएगा।
Jharkhand SC / ST Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana Guidelines to Apply
- जो छात्र यूपीएससी की तैयारी कर रहे हैं और यदि वे SC/ST श्रेणी में आते हैं तो ही उन छात्रों को इस योजना के तहत आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान की जाएगी।
- यह योजना केवल झारखंड में रहने वाले छात्रों को ही दी जाएगी जो एससी एसटी कोटे में आते हैं।
- यदि कोई छात्र सिविल सेवा प्रोत्साहन योजना झारखंड का उम्मीदवार पहले से ही है या फिर केंद्र अथवा राज्य सरकार से किसी अन्य प्रकार का कोचिंग लाभ ले रहे हैं तो उन्हें भी इस योजना में आवेदन का अधिकार नहीं दिया जाएगा।
- युवाओं को सिविल सेवा की प्रारंभिक परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद ही आगे की परीक्षाओं की तैयारी करने के लिए इस योजना के तहत कोचिंग के लिए वित्तीय सहायता दी जाएगी।
Generally students have to move away from their homes to avail better study facilities in order to carry on their preparation for the civil services examination. So, all the bright candidates who have already cracked PT (preliminary test) of UPSC civil services exam will not have to think about expenses rather they must focus on the preparation for their Mains examination.
