Uttarakhand government led by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has started Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Yojana 2021. In this CM Mahalakshmi Scheme, the state govt. will provide kits to mother and newborn children. Maha Lakshmi Kits will be given to pregnant women, lactating mothers and newborn girl child on the birth of first 2 girls or twin girls. Maha Laxmi Yojana is the revised name of the earlier Soubhagyawati Yojna launched by former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat.
Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Yojana 2021
Uttarakhand government’s ambitious scheme namely Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Yojana for new mothers and the newborn girl child, was inaugurated by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on 17 July 2021 (Saturday). CM Maha Lakshmi Scheme has seen quite a few twists and turns since it was announced by former CM Trivendra Rawat a couple of months ago. He had named the scheme “Soubhagyawati Yojana” and was all set to inaugurate it when he had to step down. His successor, Tirath Singh Rawat changed the name of the scheme to Mahalakshmi Yojana and was gearing up to launch it. But on the very day he was to inaugurate Maha Laxmi Yojana, he was summoned to Delhi and subsequently had to let go of the CM’s chair.
Mukhyamantri Mahalakshmi Yojana Apply Online Form
Just like other state / central govt. schemes for pregnant women like KCR Kits Scheme, PM Matru Vandana Yojana, the Uttarakhand govt. may invite Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Yojana online application form. The registration forms for this Maha Lakshmi Scheme may be invited at a dedicated new portal or the official website of the UK state government. The apply online process would be specified at a later date after the official launch of the Mahalakshmi Yojana.

Eligibility Criteria for CM Maha Lakshmi Scheme
Below is the complete eligibility criteria for Maha Lakshmi Scheme in Uttarakhand:-
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand state.
- She must be pregnant women.
- Only those pregnant ladies above 18 years of age would be eligible.
- The family and dependents of all government employees paying Income Tax would not be covered under the project.
Only those candidates fulfilling the above mentioned eligibility criteria would be eligible.

Mukhyamantri Maha Laxmi Kit to Mother / Newborn Girl Child
Under the Mahalakshmi Scheme, the new mothers and newborns would be provided with clothes and other accessories by the women and child welfare department. A total of 16,929 women have been initially identified to be benefitted across the state as part of Maha Laxmi Scheme. The Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Kit is being provided to the mother and the newborn girl child on the birth of the first two girls or twin girls.
For mothers, the kit has dry fruits, two pair of socks, one scarf, two towels, one blanket or sheet, two cotton bedsheets, two packets of sanitary napkins, nail cutter, four bathing soaps, four detergent soaps and 500ml mustard oil.
After inaugurating the Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Yojana along with women and child development minister Rekha Arya, Dhami said, “If we look around us, we will find that daughters take more care of their parents than sons. Today there is no area in life where daughters have not achieved success.” CM even added that the CM Maha Laxmi scheme is inspired by the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Items in Pregnant Women Kit under Mahalakshmi Yojana
Women and Child Welfare Department has designed this Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Yojana and would be responsible for its successful implementation. For welfare of pregnant women, kits would be provided and the items in the pregnant ladies kits would be:-

Items in Newborn Children Kits under Mahalaxmi Yojana
In the kits for newborn children for Mahalaxmi Yojana, following items would be there:-
